what inspires me

I make art to honor what passes too quickly. I study form, tone, and feeling, then wait until the story is there and press the shutter. I want the work to be honest and true to you. My faith teaches me to serve with excellence and to see people with gentleness. Nature, museums, and my clients keep me inspired. I notice hands, glances, and the hush after laughter. Those details lead the way. They remind me why I began, and why I stay.

Creating moments for lovers, for memory and meaning, for the quiet things that stay after the noise fades. I did not know what I was walking into when I began, only that beauty asked to be held for a breath. That is why I keep showing up. Art has always been a quiet teacher to me, inviting me to linger, notice, and remember. I grew up sketching and painting, long before theory, and photography became the most honest continuation of that practice. I see the world as a gallery unfolding in real time: light shaping emotion, gesture holding memory, stillness carrying meaning. My work favors presence over perfection, honoring the tender in between. I photograph to record love and belonging with intention, creating art that feels deeply personal, rooted, and quietly enduring.

I've known emma since she was a painter. Between her candid and her staged photos, she shoots her photos like a painter.
